A class for ages 18 months to 3 years and an adult to help.
For those children 3 & 4 that have not taken gymnastics before. The half hour class is an introduction to gymnastics and being in a class environment.
For children ages 4 and 5 that are ready for a challenge. Some gymnasts in this class are new to gymnastics but are ready to attend class for 45 minutes. Others have taken beg. Preschool and have met the skill requirements for Int. Preschool.
For the gymnasts that have met the skill requirements in Beg and Int. Preschool.
For those students new to gymnastics ages 6 and up.
For those students ages 6 and up that have met the skill requirements for Beg. Gymnastics.
For those students ages 6 and up that have met the skill requirements for Int. Gymnastics.
Beginning floor skills up to Back Walkovers.
These gymnasts work on Round offs and Back Handsprings
For gymnasts that can do Round off, 2 Back Handsprings connected and above.
These gymnasts are in training. They are mastering skills needed to take them to the next level (our competitive team). By invitation only
For gymnasts ages 7 grade and up that are working on skills for the competitive middle school and high school programs. The gymnasts work on all 4 events. They may attend 1 time a week or twice a week.
The team program at LAGC consists of competitors from Levels 3-9. Currently we have 53 gymnasts on our competitive team. All LAGC Team members compete thru the USA Gymnastics National Program.
Tiny Dancers focus on developing and expanding the gross motor skills of the students. No shoes are required. Bare feet are suggested.
Ballet classes focus on ballet technique. Ballet shoes are required. Pointe shoes are required if in Pointe.
Tap classes focus on basic and advanced steps and combinations at the level of each student. Tap shoes are required.
Jazz/Hip Hop classes focus on the styles of jazz and hip hop dance. No shoes are required, but jazz shoes are allowed. Invitational Troupe:
Focus on learning dances in tap, lyrical, and jazz/hip hop for competitions. Students in Invitational Troupe are required to take at least one dance and gymnastic class or two dance classes.
Students are grouped in classes based on their age. While the class learns the same steps, students are encouraged to work at the speed that allows them to focus on the correct technique of each step. Variations on the steps are taught as the students master the basic step.
